Holy Cities???

Every time I turn on the news, I hear about some "holy city" in Iraq. The truth is they all seem to look like Harvey, Illinois.

Why can't we have some holy cities?

Let me nominate a few:

Newark, New Jersey - I've heard Newark referred to as the "murder capital of the Northeast". With that many people meeting God, it's GOT to be holy.

East St. Louis, Illinois - There are places in East St. Louis awash in raw sewage. It looks like you're walking on [brown] water.

Fremont, Ohio - With a volatile mixture of Catholic migrant workers and indigenous Identity Christians, you won't see that level of religious tension west of Najaf.

"Hi, I'm Dan Rather. Tonight in the holy city of Gravel Switch, Kentucky..."

The next time our army comes to the gates of a city of insurrectionists, and they inform us that we can't invade because it's a holy city, we should simply respond:

"It's not holy to us."
